Artist's Statement I learned early, mainly through trial and error in my thirty years as a professional photographer, that any successful location shoot requires careful planning, flexibility and the skill to adapt to the unexpected. I learned the same lesson while directing a thriving company for eight years in Paris, France. Because a shoot takes place in a dynamic and changing environment, I found that I had to be alive to the moment to see it and capture it fully. I am also acutely aware that my photographic subjects share the communicative center of what I do. My attention to details, sensitivity to the circumstance, follow-through, and personal collaboration with my clients as full partners all create the conditions for continuing success. In my fine art photography, I take great pleasure in capturing the magic of early morning light, the vibrant color of open air markets and landscapes, the intricacies of city architecture, and the inexhaustible eloquence of the human face.
